REVELLERS were spoilt for choice with a hectic night of red carpet parties in the city centre.
And no fashion following VIP wanted to miss out as trendy shoe brand Ugg launched its flagship store and just along
the road jeweller to the stars Theo Fennell launched his new range at Harvey Nichols.
But while Uggs were the footwear of the night, our young female celebrities stuck to sky high heels as they strutted
to the bash on New Cathedral Street.
Only Coronation Street beauty Michelle Keegan toed the Ugg party line in her beige boots and quite fabulous she
looked too.
A host of Michelles fellow soap stars were at the bash, including Corries teen sisters Helen Flanagan and Brooke
Vincent and a bevy of Hollyoaks babes including the McQueen sisters, aka Gemma Merna and Jennifer Metcalfe
and Emma Rigby.
The citys fashion crowd then shimmied down the street to Theos lavish do.
Even super suave Theo was caught up in the buzz from the Ugg party. He confessed: "I have a pair of Ugg boots too.
But you know how it is, you get them a little bit dirty and then they become your `taking the dustbin out Uggs."
However, Theo was Ugg free as he launched his avant garde baubles, preferring a bespoke pair of stingray skin shoes.
Meanwhile, the partying continued across town at Manchesters five star Radisson Edwardian Hotel.
VIPs were invited to join the hotel in celebrating five event filled years since the venue opened on the site of the former
Free Trade Hall.
And guest speaker, former Football Association boss David Davies, told memorable tales in a speech including the
time he was a guest at the Rad Ed the night before a big game at Old Trafford, only for Argentinian footballer Diego
Maradona to accidentally set the fire alarms off leading to a mass evacuation.
Meanwhile sales manager Kevin Healey had another starry highlight: "My favourite moment had to be Kylie staying
at the hotel. She mingled with guests in the bar and was happy to sign autographs believe me, not all celebrities are
like that."
